The module N-scale concept (NTrak) is based on individual units, built to certain standards, which can be joined together to form a complete layout. The basic module is 2 by 4 feet for straight units, while corners are either 4 by 4 feet or 3 by 3 feet. This allows ease of transporting in virtually any car. The modules can vary in size as long as they meet NTrak specifications. These specification standards permit modules from throughout the country to be assembled to create large layouts at regional meets. Each unit has three specified tracks at the interface edges which allow connection to each other. The remaining area is open for use by the modelers to create their own miniature world.
